Using Our Routes

How To Follow Our Route
Rampage Rally uses Google Maps to plan routes. This app is accessible by Apple and Android users, and is also compatible with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay. All you have to do on the day is click the link(s) as you are instructed to do so and DRIVE!

Following The Route 

Our routes are planned in the format of:
Stage 1

Stage 2 etc.

 

In some instances they may be as follows.. 

Stage 1, Part 1, Part 2.
Stage 2
Stage 3

 

At the end of each stage/part there will be a short break whilst everybody regroups and the photographers go ahead to get into position.

Along each part the route will be broken down into 3, 4, or more different points to keep us driving on the roads we want to drive on. Once you get to each point/location the screen on your route will change, and you will be prompted to press ‘continue’ or ‘end trip’. If you fail to press continue the route may be cancelled, and you will not be directed to the next point. 

 

Downloading Area Maps 

In some situations we cannot predict people’s network coverage for data. This means in some locations we may not be able to send routes, and you may not be able to open them in your app. There is an instructional video on how to download all of the roads in the area we will be driving in, so in the event there is no internet you will still be able to open and follow the route.
